The editorial desk

The Field Notes Desk is the organisational byline of this independent publication. We write about rice research by distinguishing an experimental observation, a research output and a claim about practical use.

The current edition began in November 2026. We use the historical domain to keep useful reference addresses available, with original explanatory notes and explicit sources.

Independence and attribution

An independent reading edition. The original HerbaRice research project, grant 897192, ran from 16 November 2020 to 15 November 2023. This publication is not the project team or an EU-funded continuation.

A historical name, grant or institutional link does not imply a present partnership or endorsement. We do not invent interviews, quotations, personal fieldwork, staff biographies or professional qualifications.

How we correct material

Send a page URL, the passage at issue and a primary source to editor@herbarice.org. We distinguish the date of an event, the date of a publication and the date a copy was archived. Incomplete records remain incomplete until reliable evidence supports a correction.
